41 Cabbage Rolls & extra sauce.  Ready for Holiday Family gatherings, or a quick supper. 

One of the best purchases I have made over the past few months,

is my "Food Saver" Vacuum Sealer, 

with the canning jar attachments. 

How did I live without it??

Vintage Litho Metal Bread Box Tin by: "BURLINGTON CRAFTS"

SCORE!!! 

I Found this on an online auction locally for $6.

It will be perfect for the trailer for bread of course!

Wooden Trunk Makeover

On this project I used a chalk paint - 

"Fat Paint" in raven, with some vinyl cutouts that I peeled off after I painted it.  

I finished up with my favourite: "Modern Masters Dead Flat Varnish".

Photo Storage Box Refinished

I forgot to take a before photo....again!

Here is a simple redo of a standard wooden photo box.  

It was stained brown.

Before I started I put a custom vinyl cutout on the top.  

I used my Cricut & the "Sophisticated" cartridge to make the vinyl.  

I painted 2 coats & then removed the vinyl.

I then did some sanding/distressing, & varnished.

The "Pratts" Poultry Lamp

I bought this wooden lamp at Value Village, painted it with "Emerald City" FAT paint, distressed, & waxed it with their clear & dark wax.  This project looked best with a heavier coat of the dark wax.  The shade was "Modge-Podged" with a 1924 poultry book that I found in the walls of my house when we renovated.

Remember the "Advent Ironing Board"?

After Christmas I was trying to figure out what to do with the Ironing Board.  

So I decided to use red & white bakers twine & mini clothes pins to make a photo display!
